MY HOME
Tess Merkley
November 2016

Where can I be myself and no one can stop me at home of course?
Where can I cry and laugh all the time?
Where is my very furry and soft friend? At home of course!
My home is a place that is never perfect but it’s always good enough for me.
Where can I feel safe and comfortable?
Where do I belong?
Where do I feel at home? At home of course!
My home isn’t my home without its soft or loud noise.
My home has that delicious smell of dinner cooking.
My home isn’t my home without it scratches and flaws, and the endless to-do list.
My home has its comfy corners with the collections I’ve built.
My home is where I can wear pajamas all day if I wanted to.
My home wouldn’t be my home with its unforgettable memories.
My home is where I hang out with my friends and family.
My home is where I hear the laughter of my family.
My home has my happiness and sadness in it .Even in the walls.
My home is not just where I hang out with family and friends or sit and watch TV; it’s where I try new things and where I grow up.
My home is where I celebrate traditions with my family and friends.
My home wouldn’t be my home without the people I share it with.

In my home I make mistakes ” But that’s okay everyone does”.
My home is where I dream my biggest dreams.
My home is where I go when the sky is angry.
My home has its ups and downs but all of that doesn’t matter what matters is that I have a roof over my head no matter how big or small it is.
