Meaning of home

Meaning of home

Home is a place where you can go if you are sad and your family can cheer you up. Home is a place where you can have fun with your family. I think that if you live somewhere and you have food, shelter, and water but you don’t have any family, then to me that wouldn’t be a true home. Even if you just lived with a sibling or one parent that would still count as family, even good friends. I am very lucky to have a family. In my family I have a father, a mother, and one sister. Whenever I get in trouble or I am in a bad mood my sister can always make me feel better and make me feel safe in my home. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I didn’t have a family. But if I did I would know what children from across the world would feel like. Some children/adults live on the streets and have no money, water, food and shelter. I am very lucky to have the privilege to have all of those things. And I have even more than food, shelter and water, I have a bed, a TV and books to entertain me. I am even more lucky to have a education. I know that if I were to meet a homeless child and give them school supplies or a book, they would cherish it. I really want to do that and I can by donating books, clothes, and money, that would be amazing.I guess what I am trying to say is that home is a privilege.
