Grade 5

Meaning of Home

He dreams of having enough delicious food, owning a nice home and other life necessities. When he wakes up he remembers that he has none of that. All he has is barely enough food for his family, four ratty and torn sleeping bags, no proper shelter, heating or healthcare.

He can only get bottled water that tastes weird. His only shelter is a run-down bus stop that smells like moldy cheese and has barely any room. He has no job and has to rely on local food banks and begging.

The things he wants the most are a nice home, good healthcare, running water, tasty food, a well paying and fun job and other life necessities and luxuries. But most of all: a place to live happily, a place to have lots of fun, a place to relax peacefully, a home.
