Home

Home is way more than just a bunch of nails and screws. Home is where I feel loved and safe. Home is where I learn everything and home is where I feel cozy. Home is awesome! I can’t imagine how my life would be without a home. I can’t imagine all the people without homes.

Home is where I feel as loved and safe as a little worm dug into the ground. It is where I run to when I’m hurt. If I get a rash or cut, I know I can run home and be taken care of. Home is where I’m cared for and food is always on the table. Being loved and feeling safe feels like home.

Home is where I learned everything. Home is where I learned how to bike, to read, and to be nice. It is where I learned how to be me.

Home is where I feel as cozy as a cat. When I walk into my home I feel the warm breeze from the fireplace. I snuggle up with my pets in the morning when I can’t sleep. When I am tired, I lay in my fluffy big bed. Those are the feelings of home!

There is so much more that my home provides for me than just shelter. Home is where I learned to do everything, it is where I feel loved and safe and it is where I feel cozy. I would not be who I am today if I didn’t have a home. It breaks my heart to think about all the people without homes. That is why I chose to write this essay.
