My home is where my heart is. It’s where I feel safe, where I cry and where I laugh.
My home is full of memories from Christmas, Easter and birthdays. I can’t imagine a day without my home.
A home is much more than just a house. Just think of a house as a structure, just a building, but a home has more love. A home suits you. It’s your safe place.
But sadly, at least 300 000 people don’t have a home. Take for instance when you look around and you see people sleeping on the street. They didn’t choose this, yet a lot of people treat them like they did and it is not just in Toronto. Many different places have homeless people.
We can’t take for granted what we have when other people have nothing or very little. I know that the next time I see someone who is homeless that I will at least say “Hi!”.
It’s not a house, it’s a HOME.
