Feeling Safe At Home

Feeling Safe At Home
Have you ever seen people living on the streets? Well guess what? They don’t have a warm home to go to,they use cardboard for shelter. How would you like to be one of them? I sure wouldn’t want to be.
I am lucky and relieved because I have a mom and dad and a pet fish and a home. I have lived in this home for 11 years.I feel warm and cozy in this home. It is nice to know that after a long school day I have a house to go to. But I know that some people don’t have a home to go to after a long day. Some live in alleyways or tents. Fact: There are over 200 homeless in 4 cities across New Brunswick.
My family and I are moving soon to a new home. I really don’t want to move but I have to. I bet that a homeless person would like getting a new home. I have mixed feelings about moving. Sometimes I feel happy to move, sometimes I feel sad.
My mom and my dad cook me three warm meals a day and I don’t have to wait in line to get a warm meal. The homeless don’t have a dad or mom to cook them meals. They have to wait in line for a meal and probably only get two meals a day.
Lastly, I believe that everyone should have a home and feel safe. When I am older and have a job I will give to soup kitchens.
