“it takes hands to build a house but only hearts can build a home.”
Have you heard this quote before? To me it means that anyone can build a house but not everyone can build a home. To build a home you need smiles, laughter, love, family and memories.
I remember the time I moved in with my Step Dad Ryan. He had already lived there. The moment I walked in I was amazed! The place was HUGE! The place I lived in before was not as big as my new house. I explored the house and after exploring I knew I was going to love my new house. It would be a new start for my family.
My house is a home to me because that’s where my baby brother Boston was born. After he was born my family was complete. A house is different than a home because a home is where my family is. It’s where I feel safe. But not the same safe when I’m at my home.
When I’m at my home I can turn the music up all the way. I can sing in the shower. I can do a lot of stuff without embarrassing myself. “It takes hands to build a house but only hearts can build a home.” My family has done an awesome job creating a home for us!
