A Home Is
A home is a place where you can be with family, a shelter from storm, with books, snuggled in.
A place that is not any old structure, but with laughter, a place where we can get help from.
Where we can confide in others, when we are bruised, or had a rough day.
A home is a place where you can find gentleness, a place that is yours. Somewhere we can live in, you say? Just finding a home would make my day.
It’s somewhere you can love, and plop on the couch.
A home is a place that, at nightfall, can watch TV or play games, even just chat or take a look outdoors.
On cold winter days, a home is where you ask your mom for a hug, and she hands over a hundred.
Or you ask for a drink, and dad gives hot chocolate.
A home is a place where you can live in, a place you get cozy, by the fire.
What is a home, you ask? A home is where not only you live, it is a place that is not only a place, a building that is not only a building, but it is a structure built maybe even just for you.
A home is a place where you can have lots of fun, a place where you belong, where your heart is
